STEREOTYPE

GRADUATION PROJECT
About: We all have subconscious preconceived notions of what we believe is feminine and masculine. The human mind labels people, colors, words, professions, clothes, and so on. But why is that? And what does that say about us? In order to find out, I asked 124 people what kind of fonts they perceive as feminine, masculine and neutral. Branching from those results, I made my own font, combining the three weights. The font isn’t created with any specific gender in mind. It’s only an observation, based on stereotypes surrounding gender roles.
The words that are written are stereotypical feminine and masculine words, to see if your perception of the font changes.
